Bundoran Surf Co. was set up by Pete Craig and Aidan Browne in March 2005. Between Pete, Aidan and the rest of the team you can be sure to get the best tuition and information year round. Since setting up we have taught surfing to lots of people through our regular surf lessons and Surf Academy, as well as teaching local kids in our After School Surf Club. We have also had lots of happy guests in the Lodge, and loads of people through the shop.
Pete has been surfing from a young age on the northwest coast and is well known in Irish surfing circles for taking on heavy waves and deep barrels. He
has explored many waves on the west and north coasts of Ireland. He is from Derry originally, but has been living in
Bundoran for 10 years. He is most content in a double overhead left barrel near Bundoran. Pete is an ISA Level 2 certified instructor and has done a lot of coaching with all levels of surfers, young and old. It is hard to get him to work if the waves are pumping. Pete has surfed in South and Central America, Australia and New Zealand, but his favourite destination outside Bundoran is Indonesia. Currently surfing a DHD 6'5".
Aidan has been surfing for ten years and is from Bundoran. He is happiest surfing the reefs around Bundoran and the NW coast. Occassionally been known to surf in sunnier destinations such as South and Central america, Indonesia, Italy, Cuba. Favourite destination is currently Peru. Aidan is also Level 2 ISA qualified and is usually working in the shop, teaching lessons, or stuck in the office. Currently surfing a Simon Anderson 6'4".
Shane Mc Manus is from Sligo but realised a few years ago that the waves in Bundoran were hard to beat so started to spend more and more time in the locality, eventually joining the Surf Co. team in 2009. Shane is one of the keenest surfers in the NW and can be spotted at many breaks in the area, riding a range of different boards. He may some day tell us about his secret spots. Shane is a qualified ISA instructor and taught surfing in Strandhill before moving to Bundoran. He has also worked in an administrative roll for the ISA in Easkey. Favourite surf destination is Mexico.

Andrea is the Bundoran Surf Co shop assistant and fashion consultant. Andrea loves surfing her 7’4’ at Bundoran’s quiet beaches.
She has been away surfing in New Zealand and Australia for the winter.
