have a special surf lesson rate of €30.
Kids summer surf camp lessons cost €20.

Adults that sign up for five lessons in a week get the 5th lessons free.
What equipment is provided on the surf lessons ?
We provide all the surfboards, wetsuits and boots for your surf lesson. We have changing facilities with hot showers and we give you a hot drink afterwards. We also transport you from the surf school to the beach and back in our minibus. All you need is a towel and swimsuit.
What type of boards are used on the lessons?
We have a range of different boards that you can try on the surf lessons. We have regular Swell boards that are ideal for your first few sessions, and then we have more advanced soft boards that you can try as your skills progress. We also have a range of hard boards that you can try, such as NSP, Hi Fly and Powersource.
How long does a lesson take ?
Lessons take approximately 3 hours. Time in the water is usually 1 ½ hours, the remainder being allocated for getting wetsuits,
transport to the beach, and introduction to the equipment.
We have full changing facilities and hot showers at the surf school as well as tea room for surfers use.
What time are lessons at?
Lessons are generally run at 10am, 2pm and 5pm. During the summer there is a kids club at 9.30 Monday to Friday.
Where do the lessons take place?
We use several local beaches for our surf lessons. Tullan Strand in Bundoran is our main beach in the summer as it nealry always has waves. If Tullan is flat it is likely that all other beaches in the area are also flat. When the swell is big we somtimes use Rossnowlagh or Streedagh. Rossnowlagh
has the most gentle waves but can be exposed to the wind. Streedagh has more powerful waves and offers good protection from W and SW winds. Both beaches like mid to high tides. On a really big swell we use Mullaghmore beach, which has good wind protection.
What age do I need to be?
Lessons are for kids of 8 years upwards. We ask that children under 10 be accommpanied by an adult for the duration of the lesson.
Adults of all ages are welcome.
Do I need to be able to swim?
Beginners do not need to be able to swim, although it is always an advantage for water sports. Lessons for beginners are held in waist
deep water.
Are lessons supervised?
All lessons, for all levels, are supervised by instructors that are qualified by the Irish Surfing Association. All our instructors
are experienced surfers who know the local waves intimately. All instructors are qualified beach lifeguards.
How many people are in a lesson?
Groups for lessons are kept to a maximum of eight people to each instructor.
Are people of different abilities grouped together in lessons?
Generally, groups of surfers of differing abilities are not mixed. We aim to keep people of the same level in the same group.
How many surfing lessons do I need?
We generally find that after four to six lessons most people are ready to buy their own equipment and practice on a regualr basis, with
friends. Do not surf alone.
Are lessons for intermediate and experienced levels available?
Yes. We provide lessons for all levels of surfers. Intermediate level surfers are welcome and we can tailor a package specific
to your needs.
Is private tuition available?
Yes. You can get dedicated one to one lessons. It is also possible to hire a private instructor for groups of six more.
Are groups welcome?
Yes. We can accommodate groups. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
What types of accommodation options are available?
We can arrange accommodation for you in Bundoran Surf Lodge. We have private en-suite rooms with TV and also dorm rooms.
