During Easter and the summer months we run a kids surf camp, Monday to Friday, 9.30-12.30. The ages are normally 10-16, but 8 and 9 year old kids are welcome kids if they are accompanied by a guardian, to ensure they are comfortable in the water and in case they need help with wetsuits and boards. Our instructors are on hand at all times. We ask that parents/guardians of all kids fill out a parental consent form for the surf lessons. You can download the form here.

Also includes transport to and from beach, changing faciliites, hot showers, hot drink and snack.
We are also doing surf lessons in the Portnoo/Ardara area during July and August. Tramore beach between Ardara and Portnoo is the main location for lessons as it picks up even the smallest swells. Kids lessons in the mornings at 10am. Afternoon lessons for all at 2pm. All boards, wetsuits and instruction provided. Adult lessons also.

This year we are also running a white water Surf Skills Award, which has been developed by the Irish Surfing Association. The Surf Skills Awards allow each surfer to see their progress through six levels and gain certs to show family and friends. Surfers start off with the White Water Award, which covers the fundamentals of surfing and can be done in our Junior Surf Camp, and costs an extra €10. Once completed surfers can progress to our Junior Surf Academy.
Our lessons are fun yet progressive in a secure environment, with experienced and qualified instructors. We use soft boards for our beginner lessons, but as kids progress we can get them to try other boards to improve their skills and they can join the Junior Academy. Our kids camps are open to all kids - they can choose if they would like to go for the ISA Awards or not.
